Prince Edward County is known for its picturesque landscapes, charming villages, and vibrant arts and culture scene. The fall season is a magical time –  the changing leaves paint the countryside in shades of red, orange, and yellow, creating a stunning backdrop for country life.

One of the fall highlights in Prince Edward County is the opportunity to explore the region’s many vineyards and wineries. The cooler temperatures and shorter days signal the grape harvest, and many wineries offer tours and tastings where you can learn about the winemaking process and sample the local wines. One of my favourite stops is Rose Hill Run, their award-winning Pinot Noir took the silver medal at the 2023 National Wine Awards of Canada. It’s a must-try!

Wine isn’t the only beverage on the menu, Prince Edward County is also known for its apple orchards, which are in full swing during the fall season. You can pick your own apples, enjoy fresh apple cider, and indulge in Campbell’s Orchard’s Apple Crumble.

The fall season is also a great time to explore the area’s natural beauty, whether you’re hiking through the woods, cycling along country roads, or simply taking a leisurely drive to take in the fall foliage. The Sandbanks Provincial Park, with its stunning sand dunes and beaches, is a particularly popular destination.

The beauty of the fall season in Prince Edward County is something that has to be experienced firsthand.
